For Honor [Review of the game]
Prior to the ambitious project for Honor from Ubisoft, less than two weeks remained and its closed beta test has just died out. I managed to feel the game from all sides, simultaneously decapitating several dozens of poor fellows (Zhubaktsov who decided to challenge me), and therefore I hurry to share with you my impressions of the game, which, I am sure, will eat more than one hundred hours of my life.
For Honor is a multiplayer action (slasher, if you like) from a third person in which the player, taking the side of one of three fractions (knights, Vikings and samurai), sets off to fight representatives of another faction. The regime of the game presented in the beta test, three: duel (battles 1 on 1), massacre (2 to 2) and capture of the territory (4 to 4). And if everything is clear with the first two, then with the last regime everything is somewhat more complicated.
Let us dwell on the https://sistersitescasino.co.uk/casinos/lucky-vip-casino/ seizure of the territory in more detail. So, there is a map on which there are three points that need to be captured. At the same time, on the battlefield, in addition to four fighters on each side, there are also blanks controlled by the computer, sleeping in small detachments every few seconds that rush to the center of the map, where, in combination, there is one of the points to be captured. These warriors controlled by the computer do not pose a special threat to the player (they almost do not inflict damage from one blow and damage) and are designed to play the role of extras, as well as interfere with quickly capturing the central point. For killing enemies and monitoring points, the team receives glasses, and when reaching a thousand points, enemy players lose the opportunity to revive, and only the poor need to kill the poor to win. BUT! Defeated associates can still be lifted by standing over the corpse with a clamped button. However, you can also fight with such behavior by dropping the enemy into an inaccessible place (cliff, for example) or abused the body in a special way, the benefit of all heroes has the opportunity to carry out finishing, as a result of which the adversary loses its head, or receives other damage incompatible with life.
Here you should tell more about the main part of the game – the combat system. The player can apply fast, but weak blows, slow, but severe blows, and carry out penetration of protection – this technique does not cause damage, but makes the enemy vulnerable, and also allows the opponent’s throw, directing it, for example, towards the nearest cliff. Blows can be combined in combination, each hero has their own. Another hero can, holding a certain button, go to t.n. Guard Mode, which allows you to tie the camera to an enemy player (in the manner of Dark Souls), and to attack/defense in three directions (right, left, from above). And these are only the foundations – each of the nine of the presented heroes has its own unique characteristics. For example, a conqueror using a morgenery and shield is able to charge his strong blow and interrupt enemy combinations, having made a successful block, but he is deprived of the opportunity to conduct a maneuver of evasion, which any other hero can do. But Holdar is able to apply a special unclosed blow, which can be used in any combination, and has the opportunity to grab the enemy of the raid, drag it away (yes, towards the cliff). The character of the character is characterized by two scales: health and endurance (the latter is spent on blows and when reaching a minimum, the hero barely waves a tesak and cannot run quickly).
The combat system makes you act quickly and unpredictably, constantly changing the direction of the attack and breaking the defense of the enemy when he does not expect this. At the same time, the player should keep in his head the abilities of the heroes, their strengths and weaknesses, which, coupled with an excellent fighting, gives fights depth, makes them dynamic and exciting.
The game looks great, the heroes are especially good, their armor is perfectly drawn, has many small details – just a sight for sore eyes. Of course, you can find fault, they say, here the shield is not like that, there the helmet is not the same, and indeed, how this samurai chopped up a knight dressed in heavy armor? You can find fault, but I will not do this, because these inaccuracies and conventions do not interfere with enjoying an excellent gaming process.
But there are also moments that cause bewilderment in the game. So, climbing the ladder, you can restrain the opponents pushing from below for a long time to banally moving down, while the poor fellows are absolutely powerless in this situation (see. GIF nearby). Also quite doubtful, in my opinion, is a system of revenge. The fact is that each missed and blocked blow increases the scale of this very revenge, and by filling it out, the player can activate the super-duper-ultra-mode, in which the character turns yellow, receives obscure bonuses to health and endurance, and his attacks cannot be interrupted and they cause increased damage. It is important to mention that if several people attack the player at once, and at the same time he even manages to block the attacks of enemy, then the scale of revenge is growing at cosmic speed, and after the transition to the super-mode, the insoluble opportunity appears to punish the offenders, no matter how many of them there may be there. One such super Sayyan and my friends and I drove throughout the map for a few minutes, while he, heroically retreating, managed to fill out several times the revenge, simultaneously killing several people. Of course, without this system, a player who is in the minority has almost no chance of surviving, but I do not leave the feeling that the developers could beat this situation with polest.
But these disadvantages are insignificant, and, I hope, they will be fixed. The main part of the game is a combat system, I really liked it, already my hands scratch their virtual guts! If you are close to a medieval theme, you like command action, or you just want to have fun, then I strongly recommend that you participate in the upcoming open beta test.
